Through the Looking Glass

Thanks to everyone who came out to Techs, Love, Rock 'N Roll 2, raising money for Softchoice Cares. We had a blast sharing the stage with some great acts at The Great Hall!

The event raised over $4000 !

Softchoice Cares funds a variety of projects and causes aimed at furthering computer literacy and providing access to technology to those in need in our local communities and around the world. Over the years they've partnered with One Laptop per Child, Developing World Connections, the Technology Access Foundation as well as Habitat for Humanity. Through Project Connect they're supplying new computers and internet access in newly built Habitat for Humanity homes. Project Connect also gives Softchoice employees the opportunity to volunteer locally by educating participating families on the use and set up of these computers.

Classic mirror selfie thanks to the cracked ol' iPhone 4. Hairy bunch eh?

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

We'd like to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a happy New Year too. If you're partying it up in Toronto on NYE, we'll be playing at the Mill Street Brew Pub in the Distrillery District from 9pm until 1am. No cover, just awesomness!

Cheers and rock on!

Chilly Update

Hope everyone had a great Halloween! The leaves are falling, so's the mercury, so that means were planning our way through until next spring. We'll be continuing our Tuesday residency at Downtown Toronto Financial District hotspot, Speakeasy 21 for the rest of the year, with more shows at some of our other fave spots, like Champs in Milton, Drums N Flats in North Toronto and New Years Eve at the Mill Street Brew Pub in the Distillery District.

Happy Halloween from The Clearing

Fall Fun

Well it's been a while since a proper update since we've been pretty busy with rockin' out and now that's it's getting chilly we can spend some more time on the laptop (not too much, we have an album to write. :)

First off, we want to say hi to all our new fans and friends (same thing) and thanks to everybody who've been coming out to our shows. We've been having a great time as the house band at Speakeasy 21 on Tuesdays. We'll be playing there more, every Tuesday in October (not including the 7th) and return visits to Orangeville (FIonn MacCool's), Milton (Champs) and finishing off October with a Halloween Pub Party at the Pour House Irish Pub on Dupont at Spadina.

Eric and Stephan got to see one of their favourite bands, MxPx last night! Eric got to show Mike his MxPx punk tattoo, so that's a bucket-list item checked off. :)

Coming up this fall, we'll be releasing another single, called "Right Here at Home". So stay tuned, and thanks again for all the love and support, we couldn't do it without you!

Happy to announce that The Clearing will be playing every Tuesday after work at Speakeasy 21 in downtown Toronto (21 Adelaide Street West, next to Trump Tower) from 5pm - 8pm. We'll be playing as our usual 3 piece acoustic lineup, performing our favourite cover songs and new original tunes.

Also there's shows at Echo Beach (Frosh Festival with Yours Truly T.Y.), Orangeville (Fionn MacCool's), Toronto Beer Week (Mill Street Brew Pub), Mississauga (Abbey Road Pub), Milton (Champs), Huntsville (On The Docks), Don Mills (Bier Markt), and Road Hockey To Conquer Cancer at Ontario Place in addition to some private parties (woohoo).
